My Languedoc village

Villevieille (30250)

Villevieille (1500 inhabitants) is located on a hill overlooking the plains surrounding the Vidourle river.

It is situated halfway between the cities of Nîmes and Montpellier, about 27 kilometres from each. The Lunel exit from the A9 highway is 15 kilometres away and the Mediterranean beaches and the Cevennes mountain range are nearby.

The village has a preservation society who maintain a frequently updated village website.

The village website, in English, is here.

Information and translation from Hansjoerg Klein and Brigitte Faucher.
