i didn't manage to get there last Weds. hope to catch them soon... i think that they are at the Aude Flyer 'Plant Swap' today.

Yes they were and customers seemed very pleased with the food.

I asked about their plans. They hope to be in Monteal on Tuesday starting NEXT week, not this.

No doubt some will see it as very "little England" but now and again nice for a change, just like going to Vietnamese in Bram once in a while.

Just been informed that they will be in Couiza Tuesady 24th from 6pm. at the junction from the D118 across the river to Montazels Station. We will be there. Please pass on the news.!!!

They say on their website that they're importing their potatoes from the UK. How mad is that?

no madder than any of the other cross border trading..... French Flour for Sainsbury to make 'genuine' baguettes etc.!!!

it might have been Tesco's but definitely one of the Big Supermarkets were publicising this with pride.
I think that having the right Potatoes for Chips Is actually a problem here. I usually use Bintje From the N of France) or Mona Lisa grown on the Plateau de SAULT.
The usual suspects in French Supermarkets are not that satisfactory, even when advertised as 'spuds for Frites.

Just got back from eating some lovely Fish and Chips. A good crowd was gathered!!!!
They will be next in Couiza on the 22 May...
but keep a eye on the website for new locations and dates... :l

They will be in Couiza on BOTH the 10th and 22nd May........ then 5th. June
and will make their first 'Sortie' to Carcassonne on the 11th. May,
Junction rte de Limoux /Rue Antoine Watteau.

then i think they will basically be setting up a 2 weekly rota for these pitches ....

I have just heard that the Maire of Quillan thinks that the Expat Community of Quillan doesn't deserve the possibility of buying Fish & Chips in Quillan. so You poor souls in Quillan, you will have to come to Couiza on the 10th or 22nd May or 5th. June to indulge your Tastebuds. In the meantime maybe you should 'Lobby' the Mairie of Quillan re this situation. The elections are due next year and dont forget we DO HAVE A VOTE!!!

If they were doing real French stuff - Morrocan Merguez and Belgian fries there wouldn't be a problem ?

Excitment at the Fish & Chips tonight in Couiza..... as we approached the Fish and Chip Van we could see blue flashing lights, Pompiers and Gendarmes etc....Luckily the Fish & Chip wagon was there but a Moto had crashed into a car and then into the Chip wagon... not too serious but of course everything was chaos and somewhat delayed.... but anyway the Food was yummy as usual. Hope it didn't put too many Punters Off!!!!

Roll on next tuesday 22nd. in Couiza..... going to try the crispy spring rolls and maybe a battered Sausage!!!!
