Nepal earthquakes

Hi All,
We live in the north Gard where we run a gite complex. A year or so ago, following a trekking holiday in Nepal, we set up a small UK registered charity to help the subsistence farming village of our guide Pasang. The village is called Jaleshwari and is in the Khotang district . We raised money to buy livestock to help with food security and everything was going along nicely until the earthquake struck.
The first quake didn't do too much damage but the second quake was close to the village and most of the buildings were destroyed or seriously damaged. We managed to raise sufficient funds to supply the village with 100 tarpaulins to make temporary shelters before the monsoon begins.
Now we are raising funds to help another remote village Dolakha where over 100 families are homeless. If anyone is interested in the work we are doing and would like to donate, get involved with fund raising or simply sign up for our news letter please visit us at

Thanks for reading.
