Well, I think you could be forgiven for "doing a Depardieu" in the car.

I thought it was only Brits and Poles who did this ? Just got home 12 hour run ...including 3 1/2 hour lunch with friends ...NO drinking alcohol tho , never on the autoroute runs . Horrendous jams going North into Lyon , luckily we were going Sarf , Car is now half a metre taller after our BritBooty has been removed . Great drive today , except the payage at Lyon North had a technical problem ...no one except trucks could get through ...wonderful claxon concert commenced, people began pushing into queues, getting out of cars and getting VERY overheated . My Wife was the supreme Road Rage Queen with a Parisien couple , the guy really tried to bully her , She was driving , he got in front ,the toll blocked again , and She steadfastly refused to let him reverse out of the gate .Being a typical Brave Frenchman ,he sent his Wife to tell us to move ..I learned a new French word , or two , and battle commenced in earnest . We WON , he was left fuming and we chortled like kids the rest of the way to our friends house for lunch .

A new speed camera has been installed on the A9 near Montpellier. Currently there are no warning signs, so this is particularly unsporting.

The camera is installed between the crash barriers about 1km after J29 (Montpellier East http://goo.gl/maps/KP6h ) "aimed" at rear numberplates of traffic heading for Vendargues, Lunel, Nimes.

Faults in the rush hour radar system results in motorists being incorrectly 'flashed' on A9 near Montpellier.
Motorists have complained to the prefecture, and the prefect has assured them there won't be a penalty

Another 50 lives saved ....fancy driving above 50kph on an autoroute after breakfast on the 7th day of the month with an "R" in it. ............Everyone knows it is illegal....today :bigsmurf:

Hope they weren't wearing a burka....could be death by frustration imposed by the police then.
