Seems that this has gone off topic.

Discussion of the election was originally here : viewtopic.php?f=12&t=6696

Somehow it moved here after another squabble at the other place involving some election stuff that was deleted.

Can we keep them separate ?

We've had votes in the past, and I intended to do it this time. I searched for the right menu, but couldn't see how to do it

If I - or someone else - spot how to do it, we could have a round 2 vote !

Go to new topic.

At the bottom of the page where you have options, there is a tab for polls. You create your poll there.

Away we go, again. Not satisfied with self destruction, the usual culprits have launched another offensive on tlp. Seems that it is now common practise for the owners friends to make spurious posts attacking Peter and others - then delete them. They launched a unified, yet uninformed attack, only to backtrack when it was proved to be unfounded. Who is behind these repeated attacks ?

So, what have we learned ?

1) There is a mother who prefers to gain kudos amongst her friends than help further the education of her children
2) Others blindly support the mother and are prepared to name and shame innocent parties
3) Admin are helpless to control the owners friends
4) The owner believes that all is OK provided it is deleted or edited tomorrow
5) These shameful events do not originate within tlp
6) At least one A-D member behaves decently and wants to help others

XXXX : Sanctimonious,self -righteous prigs ...

XXXX : Once again, Noel totally misses the point

One for the afficianados. Seen recently on FB

Q. Any opinions on how an Independent Catalonia would be received the French side of the border ?
Could we expect a Catalan Independence Movement to stretch into 66 and 11 ?

A. Anything is possible, but we shall see what happens after the referendum. Meanwhile in Venice !

Another one bites the dust! I rest my case.

Oh you poor thing Genghis..
By the timing of your original post i can only draw two conclusions:
A: There's not much happening on AD so lets take a pot shot at the 66 FB group?
or
B: You awoke in a cold sweat following a nightmare you'd had that Kate was in negotiations with Peter for a takeover bid of the Languedoc forum.
Most probably the latter...

Answer to quote 1:
I would not want you over there in fear of you scaring to many people away and the group turning stale, bit like this thread really...

Answer to quote 2
I believe the same subject has already been raised on this forum:

viewtopic.php?f=23&t=7073
Cata showed genuine interest and quoted a lot of useful links on the subject
And your reply was :
Re: Catalan independence rally

post by Genghis Cohen » Wed Sep 12, 2012 1:35 pm
Not reported in the French press then? Odd that, because I could have sworn I saw it on FR2 last night.

Genghis Cohen
I guess you fell to sleep again in front of the telly or forgot to buy a paper on the day in question.
You really need to start going to bed a little earlier..Oh,and try a lie in now and again. It works wonders !

I'm sure many of Peters members agree with me, that his thread has ran its course and is becoming very stale indeed.

Ever considered taking up golf ?

I expect the usual barrage of criticism from (lets say) "the chosen few" but you kinda acclimatize to it after a while... 8)

Rob, I am pleased that you replied so quickly to GC's post, obviously Sunny delight, has lost its spark, maybe you or the Moon man, can correct the assumption that the Southern Catalan's are poor. where as you obviously know that they are the richest part of Spain and without their input, financially and materialisation Spain would be up the creak without a paddle.

I do not wish to point out that the Moon Man lacks a certain grasp of the area, but posting that the Catalan Independence , may stretch to Aude, shows his limited grasp of the region and the different cultures. Quite frankly Rob, the Moonman's lack of knowledge puts you in a very embarrassing position, as his co supplier.

Please feel free to seek help, from this Forum in running your Sunny delight 66 FB Page, there are numerous contributors who have not only worked within the Region and Department, but live here full time unlike the Moon man, who quotes dreams ( His).

Best Wishes for the continued operation of Sunny Delight 66,

Sorry Brittany did not work out for you, but at least you have a trade and hopefully you can resume with some of your ex Brit customers, who havent found French tradesmen to fill your gap.

At least you tried working in a different area, even if you failed! But Rob you can hold your head up high, you work unlike so many members of society around Europe, especially the UK, who rely on Taxpayer funded benefit.

Best Wishes.
PS who is that Kate , is she a silent partner of yours, the power behind the Legrand image, and Sunny Delight 66. I just wondered.

I'd always thought that the PO/Aude border was pretty much in the same place as the old Catalan/Occitan one. Which explains all the forts and castles along it.

Or are we picturing armies of cool, afluent Catalan youth marching on (or rather arriving in their Audis) Narbonne and Carcassonne to free them from sleepy Frenchness and introduce all-day opening of bars and restaurants, Sunday shopping and decent lager.

Lol- well that's sort of what I meant Jon :)

The old border did not follow the border of the department of the PO. I believe the Fenouilledes was not included and rather fancy that around Latour de France and Balesta were the old France / Catalan border.

Maybe the last two posts would be more pertinent on the independent Catalunya thread?

I wonder if MrRob sees the irony in him having the right to reply on this forum. Something sadly missing in his and elsewhere.

Mr Rob

Why the paranoia. What is this relentless fear of those who pose interesting questions and would stimulate debate. What is wrong with the truth?

The * H****g doctrine leads only to bland mediocrity. Follow it at your peril. Remember always that you cannot be all things to all men. Why not encourage honest expressions of opinion rather than treat them as verbal IEDs?

The proof of the pudding lies in the eating thereof. How many hits has this thread generated? Treat your readers like adults and they will act accordingly. Look to your mission statement and deliver. Rally people to the cause. Let creativity triumph over dull predictability.
