Don't know anything about these people, but just came across this :

We deal with imports and exports between France and the United Kingdom. As part of our work, we have noticed a gap in the market for providing cheap and easily accessible import and export services to the general public.

To satisfy this demand, this site is designed to support both the expat community living in the South of France (specifically the Perpignan ‘66’ region but potentially other areas) as well as people living in London.

The basic idea stems from the fact that even though we are now all in the EU, there still seem to be a variety of products that are cheaper in one country compared to the other. Moreover, current transportation options (with post being particularly unreliable at the moment and Ryanair charging an enormous £20 per kilo for additional luggage) are far from great!

Building supplies, furniture, tools, home wares - for some reason these things seem to be significantly cheaper in the UK when compared with France. Conversely, certain foodstuffs etc. are far cheaper and often of higher quality in France when compared to the UK.

So, to capitalise on this two way demand for produce, we have set up a service to bring your items from the UK to the South of France and from the South of France to the UK.

Basically our idea is that we will buy from the best local mass retailers in either country on your behalf and bring your items back to you for a very reasonable fee - more than enough to save you money!

We can also bring ad-hoc items over for you (email for further information) or items you buy yourself in either country and bring to either of our route start/destination points.

Looks like a good idea if you live in the London area, however, for me in the North of England it looks like I would have to hire a van or whatever just to get my 'stuff' down to the departure point.

Might be worth investigating (Spanish expat forums?) what second home owners or ex-pats do in Northern Spain, a friend of mine has a place on the East coast of Spain and always takes the A9 through the PO - there must be more people like him that are passing through 'our' bit and would find some space in their vehicles in exchange for an injection of wonga .........

Good thinking. I came across this : http://www.spainexpat.com/spain/forum

There must be more forums "over the border" but I'(ve dipped my foot in the water to see if there is any benefit in co-operation :

Looks very interesting, at least 20% is a lot better than another site which charges 39%. I have written to them and hope to soon try them out. Will get back to inform you what happens.
