Looks like the guitar festival is back Sept. 30-Oct 24. Big names include Joan Baez (whom I've never really thought of as a guitarist), Nina Hagen (who I've never known to play any instrument), former Rolling Stone Mick Taylor, Mory Kante, Tindersticks, Eric Bibb, and, in one of those only-in-France moments, former Austinite Calvin Russell, hardly the city's most exciting export, but a real Jerry Lewis figure to the French.

There'll also be open house in the city's many lutheries (including, no doubt, the one my office window looks out over), and you can count on that dude with the amplified classical guitar to be out daily on La Com.
