A few weeks a go I bumped in to Peter who runs this site at the opening of an English school in Béziers. We chatted and came to the conclusion that it would be a good idea to have a regular series of articles for those of us that are not so informed on the use of computers. As a long time computer user and teacher and also website designer I suggested that I could write these articles to be published on the Languedoc page. I hope that you will find them useful.
First, A bit about me
My name is Richard Cleverley and I have recently set up ICTechnology (It was going to be ICi Technology but INSEE spelt it wrong – never mind) after being totally confused by French bureaucracy. My work involves creating and developing websites as well as building, fixing computers and computer networks.
I moved to France in August 2004 along with my wife Ruth and 14 year old son James from Rome where I had spent the past 5 years as a teacher in a very prestigious international school. In Rome, I taught ICT (computers) as well as fixing, maintaining and developing the computer network facilities in the school. I also co-developed www.cybermed.it which is the largest medical portal in Italy mainly aimed at the medical profession.
